I was once an industry hopeful who was late(r) to the game, self-conscious about not doing things the "right way." Whatever that is.
Then some kind folks gave me the time of day and illuminated that this is the way. So it's important for me to pay that forward — particularly to talent from marginalized, minoritized and underrepresented communities.
